My Little Bro - Joe Acosta Jr. (Pep)
|
I first met him when he was a skinny little nine year old kid. I think he shot a 68 that day. Anyway, we took on as friends. His Mom Vickie and Dad Joe quickly became just like famly to me. Over the years I saw Joe develop into quite an accomplished golfer. First High School then Fresno State then the PGA Tour. Yougest ever at the time as a matter of fact. I was on Peps bag for numerous ATT Pebble Beach Invitationals and a most memorable U.S. Open at Olympic Club. Pep as I call him, is one of the best ball strikers I have ever seen. But my stories about golf and Pep are to come down the road.

My story today is to say how proud I am of my "Lil Bro". A frustrating wrist injury sent Pep in another direction for a while. Rachel came into his life and rocked his world. She also balanced his ship. I am very happy for the whole Acosta family. More recently Pressley Acosta came into the family. Biggest victory of his life!

As life continues, this moment can not be beat. I am very proud of Pep and wish he and Rachel ten lifetimes of happiness.
