2007 Stanford Invitational. 40th - Player/ Am
|
This was no ordinary Friday the 13th. Aside from leaving my golf shoes in my car and Tim thinking he lost his keys, the day was anything but a friday the 13th day. Tim H, Sam Z, and Chris A and myself were all part of a wonderfully hosted event by the Stanford team. Our playing team member, Joseph "Pep" Bramlett was a most gracious host. His golfing ability is only outdone by his demeanor as a young man and representative of his school and team. What a pleasure to spend the day with a talent like "Pep". Having known my pal since he was 5 years old makes me proud of the young man he has become.

The format of the day was one net bestball of the foursome. I was playing to a 4! What a joke. Tim a 5, Chris a 17 and Sam a 29. When the day was said and done we shot 14 under par. Out of the money but that did not quite matter. The day was filled with great friendship and an occasional great golf shot. Sam, Chris and Tim more than I.

(Sam rips a 300 yard drive on 13!)

(This is going out of the park for sure!)
|

Chris rips the cover off the ball down the 13th fairway. Who needs two hands on the club?

Hopefully, this weekend Stanford will win the Invitational and "Pep' will take home the 1st place honors. GO CARDINAL!
